COMFIL Engaging with Industry and Research on Circular Polymer Materials

COMFIL Engaging with Industry and Research on Circular Polymer Materials

Today, we highlight the active involvement of Comfil ApS in knowledge exchange and industrial dialogue beyond the Bio-Uptake project.
On 18 November 2025, Comfil ApS participated as a speaker in the event “Industry meets Fraunhofer CCPE: Circular Polymer Materials – Innovative Material Concepts with Renewable Carbon”, hosted at Fraunhofer IAP in Germany.
This event brought together industry and research actors to explore the future of circular polymer materials, with contributions from several Fraunhofer institutes (IAP, ICT, IML, IVV) as well as industrial partners including COMFIL ApS and SoBiCo GmbH.
Key topics discussed during presentations and exchanges included:
- Bio-based mono-materials
- Self-reinforced materials
- Textile-based material solutions
- Circular biopolymers and renewable carbon concepts

The event also featured an exhibition showcasing tangible demonstrators developed within the Fraunhofer CCPE ecosystem, enabling participants to connect research outcomes with real-world applications.
Comfil ApS’s participation reflects the strong alignment between BIO-UPTAKE’s objectives and wider European efforts to accelerate circular, bio-based material solutions through collaboration between science and industry.
